In this piece, I focus on the natural elegance and intricate details of a coiled snake resting on a rock. Using film photography and the cyanotype technique, I aimed to bring out the textures of the snake's scales and the rock’s surface through the interplay of light and shadow. The black and white palette allows for a timeless, vintage quality while emphasizing the anatomy and form of the subject. The blurred background isolates the snake, inviting viewers to appreciate a quiet moment in the wild, captured as an original one-of-a-kind work on drawing paper from the modern era.
