Our 30% commission covers your complete selling infrastructure — marketplace listing, payment processing, buyer trust, fraud protection, customer support, dispute resolution, and platform growth. You focus entirely on creating art.

Commission is deducted from your payout — it is never added to the buyer's price. GST on commission is charged separately as applicable. Shipping charges are not commissionable.

* A note on GST GST at 18% is charged on the platform commission amount — not on your full artwork price. This GST is a tax on Auria Art House's service fee and is our liability, not yours (unless you are GST-registered, in which case it appears on your commission invoice for your records). If you are a GST-registered artist, please update your GSTIN in your profile for compliant invoicing. For artwork sales, buyers pay GST on the artwork price per the applicable slab (12% for paintings, drawings, sculptures). Consult your tax advisor for personalised guidance.

Payout process

When does your money arrive?

Your earnings are processed automatically. Here is the journey from sale to your bank account.

Day 0

Sale confirmed

Buyer completes payment. You are notified immediately.

Day 1–7

You dispatch

Pack and hand over to the courier within 7 business days.

Day 7–14

Delivered to buyer

Artwork arrives. 7-day return window begins.

Day 14–21

Return window closes

No return request received. Revenue is released.

Next cycle

Payout to your bank

Net amount (after commission) transferred via NEFT/IMPS.

No Listing Fees

List as many artworks as you want, at any price. You are never charged for simply being on the platform.

No Subscription

No monthly or annual membership fee. The platform is free to access. Commission only applies when you make a sale.

No Withdrawal Fees

Your payout is transferred directly to your bank account at no charge. Bank transfer costs (if any) are absorbed by us.

Pricing FAQ

Is the 30% commission applied on the full price or after GST?

Commission is applied on the artwork sale price you set, exclusive of buyer-facing GST. The 30% is calculated purely on your listed price.

Does commission apply to shipping charges?

No. Shipping charges paid by the buyer are separate and are not subject to platform commission. They are passed directly to cover courier costs.

What happens to my commission if a buyer returns the artwork?

If a return is approved, the sale is reversed and no commission is charged. If the return was caused by your error (misrepresentation or poor packaging), return shipping costs may be deducted from future payouts.

Is commission charged on auction sales too?

Yes. The same 30% commission applies to all completed sales — whether through direct listing, custom commission, or auction. The commission is calculated on the final hammer price.

Can I price my artwork in any currency?

All listings and transactions on Auria Art House are in Indian Rupees (INR). International buyers transact in INR via their card or bank's currency conversion.

Will commission rates ever change?

Any change to commission rates will be communicated to all registered artists with at least 30 days notice via email and your dashboard. Changes do not apply retroactively to sales already in progress.
