I was inspired by an original artwork that incorporated real butterfly wings to create its image. Wanting to explore that idea in my own way, I used acrylic paint to represent the delicate texture and intricate patterns of butterfly wings. Through this piece, I aimed to capture the beauty and fragility of the wings without using actual materials, relying instead on color, brushwork, and layering to evoke their presence. It’s a way of honoring the cleverness and detail of the original while expressing it through my own painterly approach.
