This piece captures a quiet, sacred moment when devotees, having bathed in the holy river, make their way to the temple for darshan. I wanted to convey the peacefulness of the scene—the rugged rocks, the cool water, and the small temple—all coming together in a natural setting. To bring this to life, I used gesso, sand, and acrylics to add texture and a three-dimensional feel, emphasizing the tactile qualities of the landscape and the spiritual atmosphere. The work reflects a simple yet profound ritual, inviting viewers to pause and appreciate this moment of devotion.
