I was drawn to this image of a young woman holding a lamp, her face softly illuminated by its light. The gentle glow reveals a sense of quiet devotion as she steps out of the darkness, surrounded by the warm flicker of lamps above. In this oil painting, I explored a style influenced by classical Indian artists, but I allowed myself some freedom to move beyond strict tradition. My aim was to capture the calm and reverence of the moment, blending light and shadow to express a personal interpretation of this intimate scene.
