I’ve always been drawn to the many ways Buddha is represented across different cultures and mediums. In this piece, I used acrylic paint applied over a sand base to create a textured, three-dimensional effect, almost like a real statue. The roughness and solidity of hard granite inspired me, and through this mixed media approach, I aimed to capture that same tactile quality. My goal was to bring a sense of weight and presence to the image, blending painting and sculpture in a way that feels both tactile and spiritual.
