Auria Art House presents Seby Augustine’s first virtual solo exhibition, featuring a curated selection of recent works created from 2022 onwards. The exhibition introduces viewers to his evolving artistic practice, which is strongly influenced by nature, light, observation, landscape, abstraction and still-life.
Auria Art House is pleased to present the first virtual solo exhibition of Seby Augustine, a self-taught painter and visual artist based in Ernakulam, Kerala. The exhibition brings together a carefully curated selection of his recent works and offers viewers an opportunity to understand the development of his artistic language and the ideas that shape his creative practice.
Seby Augustine’s artistic journey is deeply connected with observation. Coming from a farming family, he developed an early awareness of nature, growth, patience and transformation. These experiences continue to influence his approach to art and the way he observes natural forms, changing light, textures and the subtle relationships between colour and space.
His professional experience as a graphic designer and visual communication specialist has also contributed to the clarity, composition and visual discipline evident in his paintings. His work across instructional design, branding, visual media and editorial design helped develop his understanding of colour, structure and communication, while his fine-art practice provides a more personal space for exploration and emotional expression.
Since formally beginning his artistic journey in 2014, Seby has worked primarily in acrylic on canvas. His paintings explore landscape, nature, abstraction and still-life, with particular attention to the movement of light, natural geometry, surface texture, colour, shadow and moments of transformation. His subjects range from mist-filled landscapes and natural root systems to water, organic forms and abstract compositions.
The virtual exhibition reflects the artist’s continuing interest in translating lived experience and sustained observation into visual form. Rather than presenting nature only as a subject, his works encourage viewers to notice atmosphere, movement, silence and the beauty found in ordinary and often overlooked moments.
The exhibition also represents an important milestone in the artist’s career. Seby Augustine has previously exhibited at Nirvana Art Gallery, Mattancherry; Lalit Kala Academy, Kottayam; Lalit Kala Academy, Kayamkulam; Cube Art Space, where he held the solo exhibition “Moves of Nature” in 2023; and Lokayata Art Gallery, New Delhi in 2026.
Through this digital presentation, Auria Art House seeks to make the artist’s work accessible to a wider audience beyond geographical boundaries and to create opportunities for collectors, art enthusiasts, designers and other viewers to engage with his practice.
Overall, the exhibition celebrates Seby Augustine’s evolving artistic voice, his close engagement with nature and light, and his belief in art as a medium for contemplation, connection and the sharing of human experience.
