Description

Show Description

Inspired by Muni Kshamasagar's poem "चिड़िया", this painting reflects the beauty of observing life without the urge to possess or define it. An elderly man sits immersed in the poem while birds move freely between memory, imagination, and reality. The composition contrasts the cool blue world of contemplation with the warm golden glow of lived experience, suggesting that every encounter is unique even when it appears familiar. The painting celebrates the quiet wisdom of allowing nature to remain itself. Just as the poet chooses not to name the bird, the artwork invites viewers to experience the world without labels, ownership, or assumptions.

Artist Statement

Read Artist's Words

This painting was born from my deep connection with Muni Kshamasagar's poem "चिड़िया." The poem reminded me that our habit of naming things often creates an illusion of permanence, while nature is constantly changing. Every bird we see may resemble the one we saw yesterday, yet it carries its own unique existence. Through this artwork, I wanted to create a space where observation becomes meditation. The reader represents awareness, the birds symbolize freedom, and the house represents the comfort of familiar memories. The flowing blue sky and warm golden light reflect the dialogue between imagination and reality. Rather than illustrating the poem literally, I sought to paint its silence—the moment when we stop trying to define life and simply allow it to be.
