Natural Unio

This stone carving is inspired by the relationship between fig fruit (anjir) and the fig wasp. In nature, the fig wasp enters the fig to lay eggs, and this process helps the fruit to grow. Both the fig and the wasp grow together. I connected this natural process with the human fertility system. Just like the wasp enters the fig, the male sperm enters the female egg, and new life begins to grow. In my sculpture, I shaped the fig like an egg form and the wasp like a sperm form. This creates a visual connection between nature and human life. Through this work, I want to show that the process of life is similar in different forms of nature. It is a natural cycle of growth, connection, and creation.
