I created this piece as a quiet celebration of introspectionβthe kind that happens when the world softens and all that remains is you, your thoughts, and a story unfolding in your hands.
The woman you see here is not just reading a bookβshe is inside it. I chose bold, unconventional green tones for her skin to break away from realism and move into emotion. Green, to me, represents growth, curiosity, and a mind that refuses to stay still. Her closed eyes are intentionalβthey invite you to feel rather than just see.
The textured background, layered with earthy golds and rough strokes, reflects the imperfect, beautiful chaos of our inner world. In contrast, the vibrant floral accents in her hair symbolize imagination bloomingβideas taking shape as she reads, thinks, and dreams.
I wanted the composition to feel intimate yet powerful. The tilted head, the gentle grip on the book, the quiet confidence in her postureβit all speaks to a moment we often overlook: the strength found in solitude.
This artwork isnβt just meant to decorate a wall. Itβs meant to hold spaceβfor thought, for calm, for reflection. When you bring this piece into your home, youβre not just adding color; youβre inviting a story, a mood, a presence that grows with you.
If youβve ever found yourself lost in a book, or in your own thoughts, then this painting already belongs to you.
